Sunshine Systems’ GPP 300 watt GrowPanel is one of the best ways to have a lush garden indoors. With its 300 watt output some claim it can go against the 1000 Watt Metal Halide. This is a huge overexaggeration but the truth is this LED light is a bit more powerful than your traditional 300 watt light. The GrowPanel Pro consumes less power compared to Metal Halide lights, providing your plants the perfect blend of light and power for all stages of plant growth. Given time you can expect a garden filled with plants that have big buds, healthy leaves, and breath-taking flowers. This LED light emits very little heat and it does not require any kind of ballast or cooling equipment.

What I absolutely love about GrowPanel Pro is that it is very consumer-friendly. It offers a plug-and-use feature which means you can use it straight out of the box. I am not technologically challenged but I am not the most efficient person when it comes to things like this either. That is why I am pleased to know that I need not install anything special for the GrowPanel Pro to work; I simply open the box, plug it in, and voila I am ready to grow a beautiful garden. Moreover, I will be completely honest and just say right off the bat that I like this light because it promises to reduce my electric bill. I am cheap as you can imagine (I am Asian for crying out loud and we take that as a compliment)! As long as I can save a few bucks, I am happy. Their guarantee that there will be no maintenance cost is yet to be proven but I am hoping they are actually telling the truth because that will definitely increase my satisfaction in the light.
Some LED grow lights are only used during specific stages of plant growth but the good news about the GPP 300 is that it can be used during the entire duration of your plant’s life. I tried to research about this but could not get any solid scientific basis for this. I could only guess that because it does not emit that much heat, it works well even with fragile budding plants. That means you can grow just about any plant underneath the GrowPanel Pro. I am yet to try trees, but some people say they were able to grow banana trees with the LED light.

Like I said, I work hard for my money and I want to get the best bargain in town. The only apprehension I had with Sunshine’s GPP is its initial price. It is sold for $1,000 online, give or take; and the Asian in me did not want to budge. I eventually did though because I heard a lot of raving reviews about it. I guess you can say that under some circumstances, paying a thousand bucks for a LED light is acceptable (there are a lot of energy and maintenance savings in the long run). I am a plant enthusiast and if this means I can grow beautiful flowers indoors then it is worth every penny.
It’s worth noting that one of the reviewers at Amazon mentioned that the light is being sold by a “fake” or “knock-off” company. This was previously the case, but if you inspect the Amazon page where this light is sold just under the name of the light then you will see that it is now sold by the authorized seller Sunshine Systems.

The GrowPanel Pro 300 watt sure promises a lot. I must say that most reviews I read around the Internet were fairly positive. Based on what I have read so far, 4 out of every 5 people have enjoyed their GrowPanel Pro. Many are saying that it is extremely easy to use and it really works! Moreover, people are impressed that they can grow practically any kind of plant underneath the light and it covers around 40 square feet. There are some, however, who are not very impressed; mainly because of the price. Others mentioned that the fans on top of the light are a little loud (especially considering the fact that LED lights are generally considered quiet lights).
Those who think that this light is not worth their $1,000 suggest that you try making one yourself. This isn’t a horrible route, but it can be difficult to do and keep in mind that the people who make these lights do a lot of testing and don’t reveal all of the specifications. In conclusion, I personally think that GrowPanel Pro is worth a try if you are an avid gardener (it’s probably not a great idea for someone just starting out in the gardening world unless you like to experiment). Spending $1,000 for LED lights takes a lot of getting used to but I have learned to get over the upfront costs for these lights because of the long-term savings and benefits for the environment.
